Gallery Art Exhibition –“Finding Beauty in the Everyday”

Friday, May 1
4 PM – 6 PM – Resident and Public Viewing

We’re inviting artists to share work for our upcoming gallery exhibition, Finding Beauty in the Everyday. This show is all about noticing the small, often overlooked moments that make up daily life — the chipped mug you reach for every morning, sunlight across the kitchen table, or the comfort of familiar routines.

This exhibition celebrates the idea that art doesn’t have to come from grand gestures or rare materials. Beauty lives in the ordinary — in memory, habit, quiet moments, and simply paying attention.

Theme

We’re looking for artwork that reflects life as it’s lived, moment by moment. Your piece might highlight the beauty of familiar objects or spaces, tell a story connected to everyday items, or capture the poetry, humor, or comfort found in daily routines. Works that creatively reuse common or found materials are also welcome.
Some ideas to spark inspiration:
• Turning everyday materials — bottle caps, paper scraps, buttons — into something new
• Exploring how ordinary objects (a cup, a chair, a plant) can hold deep meaning or memory
• Finding beauty in routine, repetition, or habit
• Telling the story of an object you interact with every day
