At Sheboygan Senior Community, the quality of care our residents receive depends on the strength, dedication, and stability of our in-house team. By investing in our caregivers and staff, we create a workplace culture that fosters professional growth, belonging, and long-term commitment. Our low staff turnover and zero-agency approach ensure residents experience consistent, personalized care from familiar, trusted caregivers every day.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your physical, financial, and personal well-being.
We provide fair, mission-driven wages, shift premiums, holiday pay, performance bonuses, and a 403B retirement plan with employer matching, reflecting our commitment to sustaining a skilled, permanent team.
Our employees enjoy affordable health, dental, and vision insurance, life coverage, and wellness reimbursements, supporting both their physical and financial well-being.
Through tuition reimbursement, generous paid time off, paid holidays, and paid parental leave, we empower our staff to grow professionally while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Childcare reimbursement, free daily meals, EAP services, and a dog-friendly environment create a welcoming and inclusive workplace where every team member feels valued and supported.
By investing in our team, we ensure seniors receive consistent, compassionate, and resident-centered care. Every caregiver becomes a trusted member of our residents’ extended family, strengthening both our community and the quality of life for all who call SSC home.
Paul Treffert has been part of the SSC team since February 2016.
Why he loves working at SSC:
SSC represents everything that I have always thought was possible in long-term care but had never found anywhere else: a beautiful setting, a ‘state of the art’ facility, all private rooms, and most importantly, the very best senior care and services provided by an outstanding team of dedicated caregivers. What else could you ask for?

Rachel, Emily, Dagan, Ali, and Buddy the dog.
One favorite thing about Sheboygan County:
My favorite thing about Sheboygan County is that it is big and dynamic enough to have great quality of life (restaurants, entertainment, parks, etc) but still feels like a small town where everyone knows and looks out for each other.
