To residents, family members, and staff –
As of Friday, October 9, one staff person tested positive during our weekly Covid-19 testing. This person has been sent home, and will remain isolated. Consequently, we tested two households in which the positive staff person worked. Two residents tested positive for Covid-19 in one household. These residents are symptom-free without fevers. The residents and their family members have been made aware of the positive tests.
The household with the two positive residents is now on lock-down. The residents of that household will be isolated to their rooms for the next two weeks. These residents will receive their meals in their rooms, and will not be able to participate in group activity programs for this time. We are cognizant of the mental impact this will have on our residents and are actively preparing in-room recreation options. Staff in this household are wearing N95 face masks and face shields. We have adjusted staffing so that one CNA is dedicated to the positive cases.
We are working closely with Sheboygan County Division of Public Health to keep our residents and staff as safe as possible.
Indoor Visitation
We are temporarily suspending the roll out of our indoor visitation plan that was set to begin next Monday. We will be in contact with all family members when it has been determined safe to proceed with this policy.
Outdoor Courtyard Visits
Outdoor visits are all temporarily on hold for two weeks. Assuming no new cases arise in our facility, we will anticipate resuming outdoor visits on Saturday, October 24 – weather permitting.
Window Visits
Window visits will be an option for the three households that are Covid-free. These must be scheduled in advance with our receptionists Joan or Donna ([email protected]) for healthcare, and contact Mel or Nikki ([email protected] or [email protected]) for Willow.
Virtual Visits: FaceTime, Google Duo, Zoom, Skype
We know these next two weeks will be tough, so please continue to set up virtual visits with your loved ones. If you’re interested in setting up virtual visits, please contact Joan or Donna ([email protected]) for healthcare, and contact Mel or Nikki ([email protected] or [email protected]) for Willow. If you have any questions on how to conduct or set up virtual visits, please contact Dana ([email protected]).
Our Covid-19 hotline number is 920-946-1572. Please leave a message, and we will return it at our earliest convenience.
